How the Engine Works

Every NPC is generated from three structural layers:

  1. Identity Core
    Stable traits that define who the character is.
  2. Decision Framework
    How the character evaluates risk, responsibility, and action.
  3. Constraint Pressure
    How behavior changes under stress, uncertainty, or moral conflict.

By modifying only the decision framework, the system produces dramatically different outcomes while preserving character continuity.

This allows consistent world simulation, believable narrative branching, and scalable character generation.
